I love the styling of these measuring cups, but the handle bent when I was measuring brown sugar. I just scooped it out of the canister like I normally do - and it was nice and soft. I wish the handles were stronger.

Chances are, the pieces themselves will last quite a long time. They work perfectly for most uses. Like stated before, since they're made of steel, anything sticky will likely, well, stick a bit. So I'd stick, pun intended, to slick plastic for those stickly applications or use some flavorless non stick spray once in a while, and you're good to go. Although it's probably not a recommended use, you can even place them in the oven or on the range for a bit to melt things and warm sauces, and they're great for hot and or heavy situations.

I bought the Emerilware measuring cups for two reasons - one was that I own a set of the stainless steel pots and love them, and two, I like the style and how they match the pots.
Constructionwise, they are very well built - you can tell by handling them that they are solid and would take a lot of pressure to bend. Sturdiness alone, I give them an A+, but functionalitywise, I give them a B. The handles appear riveted in the same fashion as the handles on the set of cookware, however this poses a problem when trying to empty the cups with something like brown sugar. After packing the brown sugar into the cups, I find myself having to pry it out of the cup with a fork, being careful not to scratch it. But as long as they're being used for something dry like white sugar or something liquid, they're fantastic.
The sizes of the cups appears to be written on the handle, not engraved. It seems like over the course of time these sizes will wear away but haven't proved that yet. Only other gripe I have is that it does not say "Emeril" by the rivets like the pots, which would have been a very nice touch!
Overall though, I give them a B+ with my only major complaint being working with a sticky substance like brown sugar.
